CHAIN MUHANDI
Chain Muhandi wurde 1957 in Ngecha Village in Limuru Kiambu geboren.Während seiner Schulzeit interessierte er sich besonders fürs Zeichnen.Damals zeichnete er allerdings nur zum Spaß,nicht wissend,dass dies später einmal sein Beruf werden sollte. Schnell wurde ihm klar,dass er ein besonderes Talent für die Kunst besaß und er entschied sich, in diese Richtung zu gehen.

1978 begann er zu batiken und setzte dies bis in die später 80’er fort. Zur
gleichen Zeit experimentierte er allerdings auch mit Ölfarben und erkannte, dass dies das Medium war, dass am Besten zu seinen Fähigkeiten passte. Heute lebt und arbeitet der Künstler in Ngecha, wo er kürzlich zusammen mit Sane Wadu, Sebastian Kiarie, King Dodge, Wanyu Brush und Eunice die „Ngecha Artist’s Accociation“ gründete.

Das Ziel dieser Vereinigung ist es,sowohl lokale,als auch nationale und internationale Künstler zu fördern.
